How do I determine what process to exit my WD hard drive removable hard?
I killed the whole process occurs to me (antivirus, firewall, software non-OS) with each browser window using the drive, but Vista still will not let me eject it. I'm running Windows Vista Enterprise, too. Any ideas? I thought about using Process Explorer, but I could not find a way to see what processes are using. I can not shut this machine on a regular basis. A server Web is run out of the root drive.
Process Explorer lets you locate open file by name or part of the name with Ctrl-F. But if it is really a problem only shutdown of the machine - then * know * it is safe.
